This will complement increasingly sophisticated AI-backed search tools and our comprehensive Wish Lists, but will be a more human operation, giving you access to our extensive in-house knowledge base of what fits what in a surprisingly broad model range that has evolved® over decades.

So, what sort of information?

The more the better:

• The first eleven characters of your VIN will identify the original model details – we don’t need the serial number at the end – and is more useful to both of us than the registration number.
  • This will not compromise your privacy: we take your privacy very seriously.
  • This will identify the model family, specific model, engine type and size.
  • Identifies the date of manufacture: more useful than the date of first registration when ordering parts.

• Modifications that will change your requirement, and will help us to understand your priorities:
  • Engine tuning.
  • Frame modifications.
  • Wheel changes.

• Photographs of your specific bike:
  • Each is worth a thousand words.
  • All 2010 FLSTF Fat Boys might have been created equally, but by 2012 most of them will have been modified, and it is very useful to see what has been changed.
  • Feel free to obscure or avoid showing registration numbers: we don’t need them … although something showing a trick side-mount or custom taillight might be useful.
