I have been in Business since 1981, and although it has gone through various almost Phoenix like resurrections/reincarnations it has always been Motorcycle based.

I have employed many people over the last forty-two years, not always happily!

So why this lead in. 

Because I have been described as the Marmite man, an acquired taste.

I have high standards when it comes to working on my customers pride and joys, not all mechanics can meet my expectations and I do not suffer fools gladly!

If you are competent and professional then we might be able to work well together, I am always willing to both teach and to learn, however if you come here thinking you know it all, don’t bother to apply!

MECHANICAL STAFF

Here at Snobs Custom Cycles, we are always looking for good quality mechanics; fabricators; general engineers; automotive & electrical engineers, to help build our brand.

I am always asked what is the salary or how many hours do I have to work. Well, if you are a professional, you will know what you are worth and you will know how much you want to work. I always like to say I will always pay you less than you think you are worth but more than what I think you are worth.

At the end of the day, it’s about the team working together & sharing the profit, if the business doesn’t make money, it means something is wrong & not working, we are always open to negotiations with proffessional people!

If you are prepared to work diligently, take responsibility for yourself & are not afraid of hard work or getting your hands dirty & mucking in with the rest of the team, then you may love working with us. No two days are the same here. We get to work on some fantastic bikes for some fantastic customers!

ADMIN / FRONT OF HOUSE / PARTS STAFF

Our Admin/front of house/parts staff, are expected to be multi-rolled & diverse. These rolls/jobs are varied & can be challenging, as you would be expected to deal with, both the customers as well other members of staff & the suppliers, this can be both challenging, annoying & rewarding!

However, this is an industry that can have a lot of perc’s as well as a lot of fun!

It may be easier if I list some of the daily tasks:

1). Handle customers enquires, both on the phone &/or by email

2). Search for parts, via manual parts books &/or various computer systems

3). Pick & pack parts for shipping

4). Arranging shipping & or collections

5). Arrange the storage of parts

6). Stock check / Stock take / Shelf & Wall Stacking / Stock audits

7). Invoice generating

8). Parts listing on various Ecommerce sites

9). General administration

10). Taking payments

11). General daily banking

12). Social media postings
13). Keeping the Front of House Clean & Tidy shop

These are just some of what, you would be expected to do for us.

However; anyone who starts with us, will receive all the necessary training, if they prove themselves to be competent & capable of listening & learning!

Who would these jobs/positions suit:

(Our needs are pretty flexible at the moment,so we are open to new ideas & working practices)

Young/Old – Part time/Full time.

So we would happily consider Mum’s or Dad, returning to work, who wanted to work part time, during school hours!

Recent School/College leavers or even people nearing the end of their working lives, who want to stay busy, & helping out, at our busy shop & workshop a few days a week or weekends!

Following on from Brexit & Covid, we are slowly building our workforce back to full strength. As the market grows again, we want to be ready to serve our customer’s needs & desires!
